American Idol Finale: David Archuleta Wins Coin Toss, Performs Last
On a pre-taped segment after the announcement of the Final Two last week, David Archuleta won the coin toss deciding the order of the contestants appearing on the American Idol finale. It's a no-brainer. Everyone knew that whoever came in last stands a bigger chance of winning. David Archuleta, of course, chose to sing second.
However, the American Idol coin toss was not to escape controversy. According to MTV, while David Archuleta was mulling over his choices, a loud Jeff Archuleta (David Archuleta's 'overbearing' stage dad) kept shouting in the background. According to MTV, "Jeff's cupped-mouth wails from the crowd of 'Second! Second!' (seemed) all the more ridiculous. No matter how hard the 'Idol' producers try, they won't get this guy out of his son's ear."
